Prink Placement denotes fastidiousness shown in structure or details. Every day of our life we are bombarded with information. We're coming through the "Information Revolution" right now, and thanks to the Internet we can find out the most intimate details on just about everyone and everything. So with all this information and data coming at us, how do we handle it?

Print Up or Down

The Sisters' Grid is divided vertically to reflect Prink Placement. Depending on how you answered questions in Find Your Spot on the dance floor, you either Prink Up or Prink Down, because Prinking divides the Sisters' Grid vertically.

Prinking defines the way you interact with things; it reflects your influence on things outside of you and how you like to interact with those things.

One of my first boyfriends taught me a valuable lesson about Prinking. Well, actually his mother did when he took me home to visit her during a holiday. Now, to both of us it was a big step. This was the first man to ever take me home to meet the parents.

Unfortunately at the time, neither of us was out to our family, and I'm not sure he is out to them even now. Mother's always know, don't they? Actually, she was a wonderful woman, very welcoming and friendly. She made me feel like part of the family.

I already knew my boyfriend and I had very different Prink Placements. Where I Prinked lower, I knew he ranked very high on the Prink Placement. This man could not go to bed without all the dishes being washed and put away. All laundry washed, folded, and put away. Everything had to be in its place. You could ask him for tax documents from three years ago, and he could reach into his filing cabinet and give them to you. That is a high Prink Placement.

On the other hand, I didn't place nearly that high. Now, I wasn't really a slob, but I certainly wasn't neat. I also didn't take such a structured view of my surroundings. A plate could sit out of place for days and not really bother me.

As Mother was washing up the dishes following a delicious holiday dinner with all the trimmings, I browsed her collection of kitten knick-knacks. Noticing the tape on the back of one, I asked my boyfriend about it.

"If she can't tape the receipt to something, she writes down the purchase price, date and time and tapes it to everything." He smiled knowingly. Sure enough, every little porcelain kitty I picked up and looked at had a tag identifying the value and origination written there by Mother.
"See," he said. "I'm not so bad."

Prinking Up

Upper Prinking Sisters have a seriously defined way of doing things. They have a routine. They have a pattern, and they come at things with that in mind. Life and activity needs to be a certain way. Things need to be "just so" and there can never be enough structure.
